B Flat Baritone
Larry Sturm has been a member of the Lexington Brass Band for two years. In addition to his duties with LBB, Larry has found outlets for his musical interests as 1st Tenor with Saxton’s Cornet Band, and as Principal Euphonium with the Capital City Community Band. When not playing his horn, he can usually be found happily ripping up someone’s kitchen. As the owner of the local Kitchen Tune-Up franchise, he specializes in restoring, re-facing, and/or replacing kitchen cabinets. Larry’s hobbies include tennis, golf, & travel. He is married with three teenage boys.
Jeff Keller is originally from Louisville and now resides in Lexington. In 2000, Jeff left Cardinal Country to become a much despised Wildcat. Jeff is a graduate of the University of Kentucky where he studied tuba with Dr. Skip Gray, Dr. George Palton, and J.D. Salas. Yes, he is primarily a tuba player – but when you’re a tuba player, you will take any gig you are offered because they come few and far between. Jeff graduated in 2005 and has been a part in the following groups: Louisville Orchestra, Saxton’s Cornet Band, Top Brass, Lexington Community Orchestra, Capital City Community Band, and last but not least, a substitute player for the Lexington Brass Band. He currently works as a manager for an ophthalmic manufacturing company, as well as freelancing and as an audio engineer. This is Jeff’s inaugural season with the Lexington Brass Band and hopefully won’t be the last.
